Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream launched April 16, 2026 for Nintendo Switch and is playable on Switch 2. It is the first new mainline entry in over a decade.
What's new
Island decoration depth, Palette House creation, Wishing Fountain progression, Little Quirks, expanded inclusive relationships, and modern Switch presentation. Same-sex relationships and non-binary options fulfill Nintendo's post-3DS inclusivity promise.
Demo tips
If you still have demo save familiarity, treat the full game as a fresh island — catalogues and ranks go far beyond the demo's limited quirk/prezzie set.
Patches
Post-launch updates (through mid-2026) focused on stability and save/progress edge cases. Keep the game updated before long sessions or transfers.
